Nemours Estate
As public access to the mansion and gardens at Nemours Estate has shifted from guided to self-guided tours, Exit Design developed wayfinding signage, maps and printed guides that support navigation, as well as interpretive signage to identify notable elements and structures throughout the estate. The grounds surrounding the mansion are the largest French-style formal gardens in North America, patterned after Versailles.
We designed printed guides, with a map and key points of interest both in the mansion and gardens, to promote self-navigation throughout the grounds.
To preserve the beautiful views throughout the gardens, we designed the wayfinding signage using minimalist structures and a subtle palette that blend with the surroundings. Interpretive signs highlight garden plantings, wildlife and historic elements throughout the 3,000-acre estate.
