Guiding Every Step
Jefferson Health’s Cherry Hill campus expansion included a new five-level medical office building, a 700-space parking pavilion, and a welcoming Atrium entrance, providing an opportunity to reimagine how visitors move through and experience the site. Partnering closely with Jefferson Health, Exit developed a comprehensive campus Wayfinding Strategy and a custom interior and exterior signage system that complements the architecture, strengthens the brand experience, and supports visitors at every turn.
Architecture in Motion
Inspired by the geometric details and material palette of the new Atrium, the design echoes the building’s architecture through subtle color and material reveals. Exterior signs feature warm wood accents and gentle tonal variations, reflecting the campus’s front entrance while providing clear, intuitive wayfinding support.
Bold Beacons
Emergency signage was designed as distinct, high-visibility elements, acting as bold beacons that guide visitors directly to the Emergency Department.
Color-Coded Clarity
To bring order and clarity to the interconnected buildings, we introduced a zoned wayfinding system for the interior signage. Each building received a dedicated letter and a distinct color drawn from the interior finishes, establishing a unified visual language throughout the campus. Signage within each zone highlights its assigned color through subtle reveals and typography, giving visitors clear, intuitive information at every step.
Seamless Experience
The result is a cohesive wayfinding system that feels effortless to navigate. Visitors move confidently through the campus, from parking to appointment, while the signage reinforces Jefferson Health’s brand identity and the architecture’s thoughtful design. Every element works in harmony to create an environment that is both welcoming and easy to navigate.
