Lancaster General Health, Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute; Donor Recognition

Overview
The Ann. B. Barshinger Cancer Institute is a two-story addition to Lancaster General Health's (LGH) Suburban Outpatient Pavilion and an expansion of the existing cancer center. Designed by Ballinger, the new outpatient center delivers an extraordinary level of comprehensive integrated cancer treatment and support to both patients and their families.

Challenge
ex;it designed a comprehensive interior and exterior signage system and donor recognition wall that supports LGH's new, integrated and distinct brand for cancer care, while relating to the award-winning design of the space. The curved architecture with strong linear elements that carries from the outside in was to be used to create a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

Solution
A vibrant donor recognition program was created by ex;it that recognizes the generosity of the Institute's supporters and encourages future contributions. Located in the main lobby, the bold, full-color backlit paneled glass wall complements the modern architecture and serves as the cornerstone of the project, drawing visitors into the space. The color palette, selected by ex;it, was used by the architectural team and integrated into the interior design, creating a consistent visual element throughout the building.
